Model United Nations is a conference simulation of the practices, actions, and debates of the real United Nations. These simulations are initiated by students, brought forth by students, and participated by students, thus giving MUN its unique nature.
MUN encourages students to take an affirmative role as a global citizen, educating participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy, and the UN agenda. MUN participants speak up and connect to the world through simulation in a UN conference. Students are given the chance to step into the shoes of diplomats and exercise negotiation, public speaking, and problem solving skills.
